Take Hwy 1 (Ring Road 1) all the way 96 km east from Reykjavik. Pass through the city Selfoss. Continue east to Hella which you pass through. Drive 8 km east of Hella, on your right side, lies the hotel approx 600 meters from the main road. The entrance to the hotel is signed by the road.

Driving directions from Keflavik:
Take road 41 to Reykjavik and follow signs to intersection with road 1. Take road 1 east. (see above)

Driving directions from Reykjavik:
Take Hwy 1 (Ring Road 1) all the way east from Reykjavik. Pass through the city Selfoss. Continue east to Hvolsvöllur which you pass through. Drive 50 km east of Hvolsvöllur, on your left side, you will see waterfall Skogafoss. The hotel lays 5 min. walk from the waterfall. The entrance to the hotel is signed by the road.

Driving directions from Reykjavik:
Take Highway Road one (main ring road rod around Iceland) east through the mountains towards Selfoss. Pass through Selfoss and drive east towards Hella. 10 km east of Selfoss turn left onto road no. 30. Continue 15 km (following signs with Sprengisandur) and then turn right onto road no. 32. This road will take you 60 km to an intersection where you find road no. 26 (F26), you follow road F26 and after 10 km you find the Highland Center & Guesthouse Hrauneyjar on your right and Hotel Highland 1.4 km further on your left.

Driving directions from Keflavik:
Take the main road towards Reykjavik and look for signs for road one on your right side. Upon reaching the junction (roundabout) take Highway Road one (main ring road rod around Iceland) east through the mountains towards Selfoss. Pass through Selfoss and drive east towards Hella. 10 km east of Selfoss turn left onto road no. 30. Continue 15 km (following signs with Sprengisandur) and then turn right onto road no. 32. This road will take you 60 km to an intersection where you find road no. 26 (F26), you follow road F26 and after 10 km you find the Highland Center & Guesthouse Hrauneyjar on your right and Hotel Highland 1.4 km further on your left.
